The Founder/Principal Jaclyn Elliott Benson

Jaclyn’s passion for market research began in graduate school, while studying for her Master of Business Administration degree. While working part-time for a professor, she gained substantial, hands-on experience in conducting full-scale research studies to support her instructors’ published work. With degree in hand, she later began working in the industry for a data collection firm as the Operations Manager.

In 1995, she branched out on her own with the founding of Elliott Benson Research. From its inception, the core principle of the business has been to exceed client expectations in terms of quality and service. This occasionally means going far beyond the number of hours or effort expected, but it’s always well worth it if the client is pleased and a long-term working relationship is formed.

The Team

  • Passion for the work – We look for people that are truly interested in, and excited about, the research process, not just seeking a place to clock in and out. Sharing in this passion gets us through what are often long days with a bit of humor and a lot of drive!
  • PRC Certification – Managers are required to complete the Insights Association Professional Researcher Certification program.
  • Intensive training – Our staff members complete a 6-month training period, including job shadowing and completion of code of industry standards marketing research training materials.
  • Advanced education and experience – Our managers join our team equipped with college degrees and experience in marketing and research so there’s a foundation to support their passion and a long-term commitment to the industry

Managers are extensively trained on the front end, which allows for more autonomy later when real-time decisions need to be made, or issues need to be quickly resolved.
